Mount Pillarus Observatorium

The Mount Pillarus Observatory is a laboratory dedicated to the observation of the skies above Talis, its powerful telescopes and auspex systems once capable of peering out into the surrounding void of space, but now focused entirely on the Warp-storm that rages around the system. It is also home to the Children of the Atom, a radical Machine-Cult specializing in auspex systems, cogitators and servitors.

The Observatorium is located atop an island for which it is named to the south of the continent’s shores, nestled amidst a jumbled archipelago of tropic isles and steaming jungles. On the western side of the isle stands the port that once serviced this small outpost, operated jointly between the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Adeptus Astropathica.

The mountain it stands upon is thoroughly riddled with laboratories, data-shrines, medical facilities, manufactorums and tunnels linking all of these many rooms and chambers together and to the outside surface. At the base of the mountain sprawls the ramshackle town that the followers of the Children of the Atom have constructed, and above it rises the smog of industry and devotion to the Machine-God.
