Life, Again

Threshold 20 V2 Modifier -10
Duration Instantaneous
Casting Time Full Action
Cost Invoking this Word of Power inflicts 1d10 Wounds of Damage (ignoring Armor and Toughness), 1d10 CP and 1d10 IP on the Speaker.
Effect This Word of Power restores a target creature to life. However, unlike the Word Live Again, it does not restore the target to their original body, instead reincarnating them into another creature. With luck and skill, the target will be reborn into a viable example of their original species, but this is not guaranteed. Any target so reincarnated will appear in the area where the Word is spoken within 2d10 minutes.

At a Word, the Cycle of Life begins anew.

Degrees of Success Syllable Effects
1 Und’Ged The target is born into the form of a small animal common to the region in which the Word is spoken. The target has attributes equal to any normal example of the creature type, excepting they gain a + 10 bonus to INT, PER, WP and FEL. They also possess a limited understanding of any languages they spoke in life.
2-3 Und’Gon The target is reborn into the form of a juvenile of their original species, though their gender, ethnic sub-type, attributes and statistics and skill-set (if any), are randomly determined. They are 1d10 years of age when reincarnated, and will age normally for a member of their species. The target, in this new body, has virtually no recollection of their previous life, though they may be told of it (how effectively depends on many conditions).
4+ Droux The target is reborn into the same species, gender and ethnic sub-type of their previous life. Although their attributes will be randomly generated, their previous attributes will influence this to some degree. Generate stats as normal, and add the Bonus of their previous attributes to the appropriate total (ie, add the character’s Strength Bonus to their new Strength, Intelligence Bonus to Intelligence, etc.). Additionally, select 3 Talents and 3 Skills the target knew in its former life. The reborn character retains these Skills and Talents. Lastly, they have a dim recollection of their former life, associates, and drives. When reincarnated in this manner, the subject is 1d10+6 years of age.
